REPLANT a tree

 It's time for REPLANT

For those of you who don’t know what Replant is: it’s an annual one-morning environmental service project which strives to improve the Bryan/College Station community, bring various organizations together through tradition, and provide an avenue for environmental service and action through a yearly tree planting event.

Two years ago, Replant Day was one of the largest student-run environmental service projects in the country, hosting over 1200 Aggie Students plant over 300 trees on the University, City of College Station and the City of Bryan.

Last year was the inaugural year for private (residential) sites. Replant planted 12 different private property locations that were able to accomodate 10+ trees. Public and commercial sites were planted at as well, including many parks in the B/CS area. Over 1400 A&M students participated to plant nearly 400 trees. Given the success and popularity of the private sites, Replant has decided to continue this initiative for to 2011 Replant Day.

This year, it will be held the morning of Saturday, October 22nd.
